and its not just the realism, its the LOOK. the cockpit is just great to look at. i was zooming in on the landing gear, cockpit instruments from outside view...i mean the detail is incredible. maybe there are other aircraft out there in the sim world that are just as good. i havent found any. this sim just makes you FEEL like you are in there. the sounds, the look, everything. i know im a little late in discovering the f-86 from you guys, so you have probably heard alot of this already. alot of the comments i have read, say the same things. so being new to this, bare with me. i am starting to feel guilty for flying in fs9. i have fsx, but even with a newer pc, i cant run it full it throttle and enjoy the smoothness that i have with fs9. i am happy with it, but this plane needs better. and from what i have read online, alot of sim-pilots feel the same. fs9 is just better. ok...im going flying. thanks again!

SF8 Sabre - FS9 Support / ACM
« on: August 10, 2010, 06:54:00 PM »
i almost wanted to call this WOW, part 3, but i will refrain. i have been flying every day, and am still amazed. i do have a couple of questions. i was looking in an earlier post and someone was asking about the gun system not working. i did try it (after taxiing to a secluded part of the airfield :) and activated the system, and nothing happened. not a big deal at all. at least for me, but is there a fix? or a hidden switch i havent found? what i am really interested in is ACM. i am currently going thru the basics. i am doing alot of cross-country flight. i am using patrick afb as my home base, and at the moment flying to hill afb. the radio and compass systems are amazing. i love it. fuel management is also something i have been paying alot of attention to. i doubt i will ever have the chance to fly a real f-86, but this is as close as i think you can get. again, what a great job your team has done. i was wondering if there is a website out there that has some info on acm...dog-fighting. i have looked a little, but really havent found what i am looking for. something that goes in-depth as far as say...what the real world fighter-pilots are taught. does that make any sense? im sure if i hunt, i can pick from here and there, but i wanted to ask if maybe anyone knew of a place to go...one-stop shopping, so to speak. i spent hours doing pattern flights...ok, im still in cessna mode, i guess..i have yet to greese a landing, but i am getting there. there is so much to watch. i know most of the other ac designers strive for the detail in the little things, but as im sure you know, you have surpassed them all. at least to me. the more attention to detail, the better. and so, for that reason, i am looking to come as close to actual fighter/combat flying as i can. thats what this plane was made to do. im not looking to be a thunderbird, and as long as i have been flying, i dont do alot of multi-player flight. i should give it another try now that i have this plane, but i want to take the time and learn as much as i can about flying this beautiful ac before i do. ok...again, great job! thanks for any help you can give me. i have had no problems what-so-ever with any of the things that some of the other people in the forums have asked about...design issues, missing this or that. everything has worked great. now i am ready to really sit down and learn. thanks again!

SF8 Sabre - FS9 Support / WOW, part 2

LOL, ok, I had engine flame out problems also, on my first test flight...BUT, i found the previous forums, found the solution...all I can say, is I am STILL impressed with the level of detail. Yes, the engine would cut out at about 700lbs, and yes, I did the same thing and didnt have my fuel transfer switch on. Any other sim, I have never had that happen, AND IM OVER JOYED ABOUT IT!!! This is such a great aircraft sim. THANK YOU!!!

SF8 Sabre - FS9 Support / WOW
« on: August 07, 2010, 09:46:28 PM »
WOW. 1st, I have been using FSX, and FS9 since they were both released, FS9 more, just because I think FSX just isnt as good, personal opinion. So I am very familiar with both sims. 2nd, I dont know why i had not downloaded the section F8 F-86 until this week. And after doing so, and not wanting to wait to be approved to join this forum, I went to Facebook, and found your page. I could not wait to say how amazing this aircraft is. I am a fairly new real world private pilot. My jaw has been on the floor all week after flying this Saber. And I mean "flying." I would slap my self for using the word PRETEND. As realistic, and detailed, IN EVERY WAY...I cant say enough about this whole download. Ok, my 1st flight, I checked it out. After I saw how much your team put into this, all of that ended right there. I spent half the morning today, sitting in the cockpit, and READING the checklists, and flight manual. I almost burst after starting it, ALL BY MYSELF!! LOL..No auto-start. Im glad the pause button is close, but ....WOW...I dont know what else to say. I DID read how you asked how much you think this simulator is worth, and I can only say...THANK YOU. I am stingy about what I pay for, but I feel like I am stealing this. I can not begin to imagine the effort and time that went into this project. I wish I had found it sooner. I had always seen it on Simviation, where I find most of my AC downloads. Now I am asking why arent there more out there like this. THIS is a simulator, in every sense. It has changed my whole outlook on FS9, and I cant fly anything else. LITERALLY. I am blabbering, I know, but I needed to say something. WOW does not cut it. I tried to convey all of this on your facebook page. This is an incredible aircraft sim. Thank You.
