Ok, so pretend it's a 6-3 wing...  ;)

1 Wing, RCAF Station Marville, France, circa 1962.

Canadair Sabre Mk.6 23512 of No. 439 (Tiger) Sqn, RCAF

23755 of No. 441 (Silver Fox) Sqn, RCAF.

Still tweaking some stuff and there's some more details to be added, but you get the idea.

...2 Wing is next...  ;)

SF8 Sabre - FS9 Support / Canadair/Orenda Sabres?
« on: January 18, 2010, 12:59:45 AM »
Hi Jan et al,

Looking at the future plans for the Sabre fleet, would it be possible to add Canadair's later versions to your list? Specifically, the Orenda 10 powered Sabre Mk.5 and Orenda 14 powered Sabre Mk.6, the latter being the most potent Sabre variant in the world! As far as modeling goes the Mk.5 is equivalent to the later F-86F with the 6-3 fenced, hard edged wing and the Mk. 6 was a slatted 6-3 wing. Some very early Mk.6s had the fenced wing but were later refitted to match the rest of the slatted ones.

The F-86E/F we have now is basically equivalent to the Canadair Mk.1-4 series, I'm more interested in seeing a later Canadair version in the hangar in future!  ;D

Thanks for this awesome aircraft!

Hi all, working on some RCAF skins representing the early years of 1 Canadian Air Division in Europe...

Canadair Sabre Mk.2 of No. 416 (Lynx) Sqn, 2 Wing, Grostenqiun, France circa 1953.

Canadair Sabre F.4 of No. 422 (Tomahawk) Sqn, RCAF Station Uplands, circa 1953.

Canadair Sabre F.4 of No. 414 (Black Knight) Sqn, RCAF Station St. Hubert, circa 1953.

Canadair Sabre Mk.2 of No. 439 (Tiger) Sqn, 1 Wing, North Luffenham, England circa 1952.

More to come, still have to add alpha layers and some more details.
